Tatta Yukie received her B.A. in Islamic Studies and M.A. in Religious Studies from the Faculty of Letters, the University of Tokyo. She has earned her M.A. in religion and society from Harvard University, Gradu-ate School of Arts and Sciences, Committee on the Study of Religion, where she is working on her Ph.D. in the same discipline. Her research interest is in religion and conflicts, as well as religion and human society in general.
