Dear exchange students,

Dear exchange scholars,

on behalf of the Faculty of Political Sciences I would like to welcome you and thank you for considering our Faculty for your academic exchange.

Founded in 1961, The Faculty of Political Sciences (www.fpn.unsa.ba) is the oldest public higher education institution in the field of social sciences. It offers 20 study programs leading to bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree from five departments (Political Science, Sociology, Communication and Journalism, Peace and Security, and Social Work). The Faculty of Political Sciences has a total enrolment rate of approximately 40,000 students, with over 4,000 students in the academic year 2020/2021. Apart from its basic mission to provide high quality education which will enable respective students to develop careers in various professional fields and create environment for vibrant scholarship and research, the Faculty is dedicated to advancing collaborative academic cooperation. Accordingly, the Office for International Cooperation supports diverse forms of international exchange for foreign and domestic students, academic and administrative staff.

The information contained in this section are designed primarily for students and academics who intend to study or teach temporarily at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo, as well as domestic students and scholars who intend to study or teach temporarily (one or two semesters) at partnering institutions within the framework of Erasmus+ and other academic exchange programs (CEEPUS, Mevlana, etc.) Here you will find necessary and practical information that will help you prepare for the study/teaching abroad period and hopefully be useful in your first days in Sarajevo or abroad.

Additionally, the section ‘Internationalization at Home’ is devoted to many domestic students who do not intend to study abroad, but for whom we would like to create an internationalized learning environment which contributes to strengthening student’s intercultural skills. It aims to give them access to different activities which are of international nature, e.g. research, guest lectures, etc.  in their field of study.

We hope you will enjoy your stay in Sarajevo/partner city and wish you successful and rewording exchange time.

Your Office for International Cooperation
