Call for Participation:
PoSIG Teacher Academy 2026: “Why Internationalisation of Higher Education Matters?”
14–18 September 2026 | Salzburg, Austria
The PoSIG Teacher Academy 2026 invites colleagues engaged in Political Science and International Relations (IR) teaching and higher education practice to examine the question “Why Internationalisation of Higher Education Matters?” through structured exchange of teaching concepts, discussion of internationalisation instruments, and network-based collaboration.
1) Teaching exchange (14–16 September 2026)
During the first three days, participants will present and discuss their approaches to teaching Political Science/IR in BA and MA programmes, with particular attention to:
Submission requirement: Participants are requested to submit a draft outline of the teaching concept they wish to share (e.g., a course or module outline, syllabus draft, teaching unit, simulation/exercise design, or assessment framework). Drafts will serve as the basis for peer exchange and constructive feedback.
2) Internationalisation toolbox and network exchange (17–18 September 2026)
The final two days will be dedicated to the toolbox for internationalisation of higher education, including discussion of institutional strategies, formats for international cooperation, and experiences from within the extended Next Europe! Network http://www.posig.info
This part of the programme takes place in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Erasmus Coordinators Network http://www.erasmus-network.eu, thereby providing an expanded forum for:
Participants are welcome to present a poster introducing their institution and/or a current project related to internationalisation, teaching innovation, curriculum development, or research collaboration.
