Forum for European Journalism Students International calls for “Annual Congress” at Krakow

Internationalization of University and College students throughout Europe became an inevitable part of their curriculum during the last decades. Crossing borders means leaving your comfort zone, exploring new experiences and enlarging your (international) network of friends and professionals.
Who are we?
Forum for European Journalism Students (FEJS) plays a key role in this process for students who study Journalism or related study fields like Communication Management, International Relations and so on. As an international student organization with active members across Europe, we stimulate and empower fellow students to take on international projects and look out for new and inspiring opportunities. For over 30 years our organization (FEJS) connected journalists from Russia to Spain, Serbia to the Netherlands and everything in between. And we’d like to add interested students of your university to our network!
What do we do?
FEJS mainly works around two events per year: Annual Congress and General Assembly.
The Annual Congress (AC) is the main event of our organization. It’s a five-day congress, mostly during April or May, that centers around a specific and current topic within the Journalistic field. Furthermore, the AC is held in a different European country every year and it is organized by both national – of the hosting country – and international (from within FEJS) students. Every Year approximately 100 European students join our Congress to share experiences, ideas and knowledge.
The General Assembly (GA) is the internal regulatory organ of FEJS. It’s a yearly assembly of approximately 50 interested participants who want to enhance the working and efficiency of the organization. Through debate, discussion and voting we carry out changes for the coming years. But most importantly, we elect a new Executive Board and Secretariat at the GA.
We are always interested in attracting new members and setting up new collaborations. This time we invite the students from your institution to participate in our Annual Congress in Krakow, Poland. You can find the invitation letter in the attachment. We have some last minute free spots. However, if they are not able to join us this time, we will be more than happy to invite them to our General Assembly in Zwolle, The Netherlands this autumn.
