[SAVE THE DATE] The Sarajevo Plenum: Quo Vadis Balkans? organized by the Regional Academy for Development of Democracy (ADD) from Serbia, the Centre for Civic Education (CCE/CGO) from Montenegro, and the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo with the support of the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB).
⏰ The Plenum will take place at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo from 6 to 8 June 2024.
The Sarajevo Plenum is the fifth event in a series aimed at empowering progressive forces in the region through gatherings and discussions on modalities of responding to growing right-wing extremism, the crisis of democracy, and current challenges and obstacles to democratization in the countries of the region. Our intention is to stimulate action by progressive and democratic structures in the region through an open forum with relevant social actors – officials, the academic community, civil society, experts, journalists, historians, media representatives, holders of important positions – all with the aim of strengthening the processes of democratization and Europeanization of both individual countries and the region as a whole.
It is expected that the Plenum will bring together more than 50 domestic and regional participants from non-governmental organizations, the academic community and scientific associations, political parties and state institutions, media, diplomatic corps, and other actors in public life. We believe that each of them contributes or can contribute to the democratization and Europeanization of opportunities, both in the region and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
