EUINSPIRE Co-Creation Groups Discuss Youth Participation in Decision-Making

The EUINSPIRE team from the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo, organized four co-creation groups during April and May this year, bringing together students from different study programs at the Faculty of Political Sciences, as well as students from the First Gymnasium.

During the sessions, participants discussed the needs, motivations, and obstacles young people face when engaging in decision-making processes, as well as topics they consider important for their education, local communities, and future civic engagement. The discussions also addressed the connection between these issues and processes at the European Union level, along with opportunities for greater youth involvement in social and democratic processes.

The co-creation groups were organized as part of the EUINSPIRE project, funded through the European Union’s CERV programme. The results of the focus groups will be used in preparing future project activities, which will continue until the beginning of 2028.

We would like to thank all participating students for their honest and open discussions, active participation, and valuable contributions. Special thanks go to the principal of the  First Gymnasium Velida Tinjak and professor Maja Arslanagić for their understanding and cooperation, as well as to all the professors at the Faculty of Political Sciences who supported students wishing to participate in these activities.
